Twitter Storm Reports
Jan 6th
The National Weather Service wants your help with storm reports. You have always been able to call the local National Weather Service Office or post a storm report on the website, but now you can use Twitter to post the reports. Thanks to GeoTagging is the act of associating geographical information with something, the NWS can track your reports to the location you sent it from.
You have to make sure that the GeoTagging is turned on with your third party software, and when you post the report to tag it with #wxreport

1 inch of rainfall in about 20 minutes
May 28th
You would not think it by looking at the radar image but it happened. Last night was Megan’s (second child) kindergarten musically. I had to go and pick up Deanna (first child) along with Kathryn (third child) and Jonathan (fourth child) from girl scout’s. After I picked her up it started to pour and I could barely see to drive over to the school. We got there and the play was suppose to start at 1900, and we had to sit in the van for about twenty minutes because we had no umbrellas. Got inside saw the last 10 minutes of the musically and came home. Told the wife I beat we picked up about an inch of rainfall and sure enough checked the rain gauge and was right. That was a very quick and heavy storm.
